Divine Wryte Wellness Workshops

Workshops are available both virtual and in-person.

Divine Wryte Wellness also offers workshops on areas of life where we need an extra push or encouragement to move forward or assistance on how to get on the path to living our best lives in our purpose. I didn’t say on purpose but let’s live in it so we can do all that we are meant to do on this planet while we are here.

The workshops with * next to them are designed for groups of 5-20 max and will touch on areas of life that we will uncover together in a more intimate environment due to the sensitivity of what might be shared by participants. Through health and wellness coaching I want to help you to look at where you are in your present moment and how to best move forward one step at a time.

Whether we are caring for a loved one due to illness, when they heal or unfortunately pass away; we are left with asking ourselves, “Where Do We Go from Here and What is Next for Me?” I lost both my younger sister and mother 2.5 years apart. While I was my mother’s caregiver when she had Ovarian Cancer, I took very good care of her, but lost sight of myself. I didn’t take care of myself, even down to the basics and after I lost her, my sense of purpose was blurry, and I needed help getting back on my path and even figuring out what my new path looked like. In this workshop we will explore my poetry book, “Crying Tears of Teal” which was partially written at my mother’s bedside and some take-aways from the book. We will look at where we are presently standing as caregivers or former ones, review our feelings and emotions, take a self-care inventory to see if we are taking care of ourselves (are we eating, going to the doctor, sleeping, working out) and start to look at what do we  need and want for ourselves, what are our dreams and goals and what would our loved ones want for us now and in the future.

We will go through the journey as a caregiver, poems from Crying Tears of Teal and how it is helping many as a resource, a self-care inventory and look at easy ways that we can take better care of ourselves, do some mindfulness exercises and more.

In this 2-hour workshop, participants will walk away with written next steps, some take-aways that can help them along their path, we will write a letter or poem to our loved ones or us about how we promise to make sure we are taking care of ourselves, self-care strategies and a mindful meditation. Let’s see what we need now and what may be next for us on our path.

If we don’t take care of ourselves…then we can’t take care of others efficiently.

Introduction to What is Mindful Eating: Building a Harmonious Connection with Your Food

An Introduction to Mindful Eating

Many people are unaware of how they are eating, whether they eating quickly, don’t chew their food all the way, drinking to much, mindlessly eating while working. How many of us make our meals and not excited about what we are about to eat, eat at our desks at work or in the car while on the go and not truly knowing what all is in your food? All of it is not mindful. So, what is mindful eating? Join Serena Wills as we explore through a 1.5-hour introduction of what it is, some theories behind it and how we can slowly start being more mindful of how and what we eat. This is the kickoff to the series as well where we will go in depth on various areas of mindful eating so you can build a harmonious and healthy relationship with your food. Participants will receive a link to the Mindful Eating Questionnaire (MEQ) to take at their own time.

Mindful Eating Series

Building a Positive and Healthy Relationship with Your Food

Mindful Eating takes time and practice as we learned through the introduction in Mindful Eating 101. If you are an organization, agency, company, church, school, school district, etc., and are interested in booking the series. Then please contact Serena Wills here

We will pick up where we left off from Mindful Eating 101 as we take a deep dive and look at how we are eating, how to out and be mindful, the eating senses, identify triggers and how to build a great relationship with food. We will look at more exercises that will continue assisting us on the journey, such as meditations and affirmations.  Review what a food log is and how it can help, live demonstrations, lots of interaction and also take a look at the Mindful Eating Questionnaire (MEQ) together. Mindfully eating is a journey and it takes time to create new habits and break old ones. Each workshop is between 1-1.5 hours long and they are interactive.

We will dig deeper together to see how you can make this a regular practice whether you are at home, traveling or on the go. It takes a lot of time to formulate positive habits and we do this through compassion and being non-judgmental of ourselves. Let’s explore more together and continue to walk along the path of mindful eating.
